Idk , but they are square, so I suspect it has either to do with being wired up for the juice, or they are fasteners for the suit itself. I'm leaning towards electrical reasons, seems to be something sagging between them, like a wire, and it's more center mass than pectoral region really. Ground line?

It is, I posted that a couple years ago and remember looking into it. The original is longer and has a lot more abuse to the carriage IIRC. Still funny.
