Moose are food. It's their job to be prey, and be the baddest prey possible. It's the human's job to be a predator, and take out out the prey to utilize as an energy source,

Big cats are also predators, and not so useful as food aside from emergencies. It's a dick move killing animals and not eating them, especially when there isn't an abundance of said animal.

Well i disagree he lives near fairbanks there is plenty of food to buy there, there is no reason to kill animals for sport these days.

"Wild" animals are only nominally more valuable than commodity animals. A life is a life. Is a free man more valuable than a slave? One might say killing an industrial steer is a blessing, but I don't think credit can be claimed when it was you causing the misery it's being released from.

Now, you might claim I'm being hypocritical by placing special status on the cat, and you might be right. AFAIK, there's no shortage of moose, but big cats have a harder time. Imo, it's human's job to leave the place as you found it. Kill a moose, and you make things better for the next moose when it's properly managed. Kill a big cat, and it can throw nature out of balance. The margins are smaller.

Hunters can actually save a lot of money on food by eating what they kill. It's a non-trivial amount for a lot of people who might be living somewhat close to the edge. A quick search says that he'll get about 52% of the weight of that moose in usable meat. That's hundreds of pounds of meat for the cost of a weekend, ammo, and knife work.

Killing inedible rare apex predators because they're exotic is just crappy.

If you consume the animal and utilize as much of the carcass as you can, and kill it humanely, what's the issue? Just because food is available to buy doesn't mean hunting isn't something that can be economical. Especially if there is an abundance of the animal in question. If it's endangered it's a dick move - if it has a sizable population, hunting is often actively encouraged so as to help cull the numbers and ensure property isn't destroyed by too large of a wild population.

In many areas the population continues to bounce back regularly, so there are often annual hunting permits. Their is a such thing as illegal sport hunting and it should remain illegal. When controlled and regulated, we help maintain a balance that works in everybody's favor. Remember too large a population can also cause undue suffering for those very animals: it can stretch resources and cause many to starve, while also resulting in them encroaching more on human territory to find resources, while posing a safety risk such as when they cross roads. It's a lose/lose if we don't keep populations in check.

I don't even hunt, never have in my life. I've been interested but generally just don't care to bother.

Funny how it's the cop car that caused the accident, everything was running smooth until he came barreling through.
If it wasn't obvious enough that the video was fake before the cop car appeared, it should have been obvious as soon as you started hearing the siren and those other sound effects.

I don't even have sound and it was really obvious it was fake. The CGI is terrible at the end.

The footage of the white pickup truck was clearly taken in the rain too because you can see a white reflection of the car on the ground around it as it drives by, but it's dry in the video so yeah...

Why don't they make it like the movie and have the other two planes be nice, shiny, and new, and the R2-D2 plane slow, rusty, and unkempt for absolutely no reason?
