I don't see how that can be faster than anything but the slowest cassette decks. I only ever used a pen to retract the tape when it came out of the package and was completely unaware of this usage. I'm pretty sure that my brother and others who claimed to "get it" were talking about knowing that a pen fits and turns it but not necessarily aware that this was a "fast" rewind/FF method.

Yes.

I'm 6'6" and am constantly watching fans attached to normal height ceilings...

I doubt that woman is 6'6. If she is then I take it back. By FAIL design I mean they should take into account an average person's height, say 6'. At 6'6 you are MUCH taller than average. :p

I get the "built for average height people" thing all the time. Cars, pitch between rows of seats, pretty much anything I have to "fit" in. Sucks.

Best part is my inseam is like 31". Cereal. I'm all torso.

it's funny cuz it's wrong. There are wild hamsters

Some kinds of wild hamsters and where they live are

aleabul1.gif
Syrians. These hamsters live in the Middle East desert and rocky areas. They have hot days and cold nights. There isn’t much food and water and the animal is nocturnal so they can escape the daytime heat. Their burrows are in deep sand and they live alone. The female will hoard food so that when she has pups, there will be food in the burrow.

Campbells. These hamsters live in Mongolia on deserts and sand dunes. There are hot days and cold nights there with very cold winters. They are totally covered with fur. They look for food at night and come home by dawn. They use other animal's burrows and redecorate by adding more tunnels for air and escape. They make an extra nest when the female is pregnant so that the new litter gets its own. Nests are made with grass or wool.
aleabul1.gif
Winter Whites [Siberian]. These hamsters live in Siberia. They live on flat land with short grass. There are not many people and these hamsters are not afraid of humans. In snow, they can change their fur color to white so that they blend in better. The female will live with two males in a burrow and the males will help with the babies.
aleabul1.gif
Roborovskis. These hamsters live on flat, sandy soil. They are nocturnal. Their burrows are not deep and enemies have an easier time preying on them. They can run faster than most hamsters because they have longer legs.

Real or fake?

Fake. The nozel is pointed horizontally only. There is nothing to counteract the force of gravity, no reason he should float like that when he takes his feet off the ground. Even if the force is tremendous he would still be on the ground by the end of that.

I heard this was done inside a bullet train, so maybe some weird interaction of physics caused this? Dunno

I love how that old man on the left freaks out and lifts his feet off the ground :D

Physics is all about frames of reference, everything is relative. Once the bullet train is up to speed (not accelerating any more) the physics that takes place inside the train is just about indistinguishable to those in the train from the same things occurring in a stationary train. Besides which forces act interdependently as I was saying so unless the bullet train moves vertically there's no possible vertical force it could impart to that person that would keep him up in the air like that for the whole trip.

The only other way for him to stay floating like that would be for the fire extinguisher to accelerate him horizontally SO FAST that gravity only had enough time to accelerate him downwards a mere inch or two or less. He's in mid air for roughly 2 seconds there. If you jumped out a window you would fall a LOT more than a few inches in 2 seconds :D

Maybe the train is in the middle of a collision. The extinguisher is just a prop and the dude is going forward regardless of any other thrust?

The fact that he doesn't crash to the ground at the end tells me he is definitely suspended by a wire.

That's not a bullet train, look at the seats. It looks more like some old subway system.

And yeah it's definetely faked. Given how slowly he moves, the nozzle would have to be pointed almost directly downwards in order to provide enough lift, and it clearly isn't.
