Having skydived out of a 182 myself...jesus. From looking online, everyone lived. The plane seen below was at fault - he was meant to be trailing, and was instead out of visual contact climbing upwards into the belly of the leading plane. No clue if the FAA properly took him out back to um...remove him from the skies or not.


A friend was in a near collision situation up in Snohomish 3-4 years ago - similar situation - moron pilot climbing out of Harvey Field without looking what he was climbing into. On the plus side, all pilots flying flights for divers wear chutes.....

Agreed on two counts! My initial impression was "holy crap, did that guy just get something stuck between two colliding airframes?" :O

Clearly a case of pilot error here also.
