He was the one turning in so he had no right to go first and thus I have no sympathy for that dumbass.

Pretty stop and go traffic (looks like a merging lane too?), so just let the guy in, even if you think the guy's being a douche. The blocker sure doesn't come out ahead with his behavior.

I hate people that think they have the right of way even when they don't. It just makes everything worse.

When I was in Paris, it seemed to be a given: you let people pull out in front of you. Looking at traffic the brief time I was there, I could see why. You would be sitting on a side road all day if handled the same way that is accepted here in the states.

But that video was hilarious!

Idiot didn't cut the branch correctly either. You can see how the weight splits the branch open on the bottom and doesn't let it fall clean. You're supposed to notch a couple inches into the bottom, then bring the saw down from the top onto the notch. That prevents the branch from splitting horizontally.

that being said, looks like they were doing quite a bit of work. It's easy to start making mistakes when you get tired or rush, or both.

I do too. But it's better to let them in. Doing the opposite makes it worse for everyone in every lane and exposes innocents bystanders to unnecessary risks.
The traffic is moving at snail speed, stop and go. What will you gain by not letting him in? Nothing. If you are a pissant, maybe pride. But if you get some sort of competitive edge power trip from that, you got issues.
What do you have to loose? A bumper, insurance rates, noses, jaws. Or have the unfortunate luck of having some road rager collide with someone else that wasn't involved.

I don't disagree with you man, just saying I hate those fuckers. Im a very courteous driver and will likely let you in...unless you're being a complete asshole. And I always yield for the big stuff. "yes, of course sir, after you....you're 20x my size"...lol

Indeed. The best, and scientifically proven approach, is the zipper merge. If every other or every few cars let someone in, traffic would move better than we typically observe. Assholes who go to far, however, ruin it for everyone, like in that gif.

The other issue is asshats who merge into flowing traffic at improper speed. Ugh I hate that, especially when I'm behind them trying to merge properly!

...

now back to the funnies!

That's cutting in. What I hate is people who don't let your merge on the road when there is a merge left sign and don't realize it's illegal for failing to merge!

I always found this statement funny. Scientifically proven, yet never observed in real life.

In theory we could end traffic jams by just letting everyone drive 180 MPH so they are on the roads for smaller amounts of time. In practice, a lot of people would die and traffic would be worse.
