Apparently, there's pushback against this in some schools now. One of my friends took her daughter to a meet the teachers thing and they were talking about how their children would fail and it'd be good for them and they needed to teach them failure. So my friend pushed her 8 year old daughter out of her chair and said she failed to sit in it ^.^
