Jesus! I almost wet myself looking at GTA3 screenshots and reading a preview.

This game will be nothing short of phenomenal! I have never been this excited about a game in my life.


Oh sure, people will bitch and moan about it being single player only, but when the single player is this good, you can get along fine without MP (as max payne showed us).

All of my friends have played it on the PS2, but I don't own one, so I'm really excited about it showing up on the PC this month so I'll have a chance to play.

It looks incredibly fun, but the odds are overwhelmingly against me ever playing it. Why?

Because I run Linux, and there will NOT be a Linux port. Ever. GTA 1 and 2 have made this fact clear.

EDIT: I went ahead and made a petition for it. Not that it'll change anything, but at least it's there.

No, but it sure does seem stupid to take the machine you have... Repartition something that is already stable, and install an OS for ONE GAME...

As for running GTA3 under linux, run winex. I tried to run it, but got fed up with trying to get my nvidia drivers to compile correctly... I for one, don't have a huge problem with Microsoft, so I do more than just game on a windows box...
