JESUS H.W. CHRIST ON A POGO STICK

I've never gone over my minutes in more than 5 years.

I went over my minutes because I needed to use my phone a lot for work and I got reimbursed for it. Otherwise, I don't think I could ever go over the minutes I have.

750 anytime and unlimited N&W that start at 7pm

Well half the problem is that Cingular doesn't allow for contract expansion - they signed up for the phone for emergency usage and in recent months it's turned into a regular communication tool and there's no way to add minutes until the contract is up according to Cingular's phone goon.

That i can understand.

Getting a bill for $400 when your usual bill is like $75 though? And not realizing it? I've seen that before, and it just baffles me.

They are phone goons because your friends don't know how to follow simple contracts and do basic arithmetic ?

I've changed my minutes plan numerous times under the same contract. 😕

But why wouldn't they allow you to change your plan? I was on Alltel's Local Freedom plan (NC & SC) 1300 minute anytime/unlimited M2M/unlimited N&W plan. I was planning on going out state (Maryland) for a few days and NEEDED to use my phone. I figured this was as good a time as any to switch to Nationwide service. I called Alltel and told them that I wanted to switch to the 750 minute National Freedom plan. They said no problem and switched me over IN THE MIDDLE of my current billing cycle at no charge and WITHIN my current contract terms.

If they are using it as a regular communication tool, why don't they sign up for another plan. (Whether it be with another phone or phone company.) Unless of course, they don't want ot be committed for another year or two.

Yeah, the plan is $35 VoIP + $55 Verizon Wireless + $Way_Too_Much early cancellation fee.

Between the VZW plan and the VoIP, that'll cover more than 10x this level of usage
