I read that as Jesus and Democrats are pussys.. like you were listing in sorted order lol
Me, too.

He's right, though, the dems are pussies, they had 60 and they still couldn't do sh*t, getting steamrolled like little bitches. If they are brutalized in 2010 it's their own fault. Not that we'll do any better for it, the repuglicans are no good, either.

Stop confusing the issue with reality. The whining of the dems re: obstructionism proves that they are mathematically challenged. Maybe this explains how they think that racking up astronamical deficits makes good economic sense. It also explains why they won't accept that AGW is bogus since more and more data is disproved.

And for the record, I criticised Bush and the rebublican congress for their irresponsible spending - not on this board as I was not registered at the time, but on other boards that I belonged to. Fiscal irresponsibility is fiscal irresponsibility irrespective of political party.

How have the Republicans been "absolute obstructionists"?

Until a month ago, the Democrats had a super majority in the Senate, House of Representatives, and controlled the White House.

The GOP could literally do nothing to hinder the ability of Democrats to pass legislation yet no legislation was ever passed.....

Now if the GOP could do nothing to stop the passage of legislation but somehow they are "obstructionists"?

Republicans obstructed the process by insisting that Democrats take all the responsibility for the crap legislation they wished to pass, even though Democrats offered to let them stick in their own pork on top of the bills the Democrat wrote behind closed doors. Sometimes the Democrats even let the Republicans read the bills before voting on them. Parts of them anyway! Assuming they can read really, really fast. But knowing that our current crop of Democrats won't stop unless the USA has become the same glorious workers' paradise as Cuba, Red China, or North Korea, and loving their own re-election more than any of those places, obstructionist Republicans refused to hop up onto the chopping block and shoulder any of the blame. Even when Democrats were offering hundreds of millions of dollars, Republicans wouldn't be bought. Clearly this is a criminal conspiracy to not protect Democrats from the consequences of their own actions.

Sorry, but I burst out laughing when I read this:

Just made me think about how the costs for Afghanistan and Iraq were conveniently left out of the budget until Obama took office. Yeah, Conservatives are real transparent.

I don't think Ryan's point is without merit, but as I've said elsewhere, I question his numbers.

Doc,
When you poll individual elements of the bill, much if it remains popular. The most unpopular item is the individual mandate. The public option can obtain majority support, but it depends very closely on how the question is worded. I'd be interested to see how Obama's new version of the plan polls.

Hayabusa,
Assume that the current bill is going to be voted on. At the same time, assume that the entire bill could still be changed. What changes do you think would be most important to address your concerns? I keep pushing you here because I'm genuinely interested in knowing how you think the system should be fixed.

Analysis I've read suggests doctors will end up getting paid significantly more under the bill than they do currently (about $300 billion more as a whole) due to the improvements to PCP reimbursement.

You laugh at his use of the word conservative because of what it means to you. Anyone who isn't blind and/or ignorant can tell the Republican party is hardly full of conservatives. Just like I laugh when I hear people call the Dems "progressives" or "liberals" all of these are used as labels for people they hardly define.

What world are you living in?

Um, the one where the Louisiana Purchase and the Cornhusker shuffle bought the last two Democrat Senators' votes, but no Republican Senators' votes were purchased. You should visit sometime, we just elected a Messiah who promises to solve all our problems. You'd like him. Plus unlike your world, Republicans aren't nasty monsters that hide under your bed* waiting to snatch you if Government gets too far away, so you could relax a bit.

* They do sometimes lurk in airport restroom stalls, though, so be alert when traveling here.

Democrats are pussies and Republicans are dicks. Libertarians must therefore be hermaphrodites. Maybe transsexuals.

OP, another of your type posted here saying that Obama was cutting taxes for 92% of Americans and that it was a good thing. But here you say that tax cuts won't solve anything.

Can you guys just find a way to agree? Kthx

No, Dems might be pussies but Reps are cunts.

Libertians are just daft people, kinda like Anarchy in the UK people were when Thatcher ruled with and iron labia.

Pussies? Or bought?

Be careful with what they say. For example Democrats were fine with Republican Obstructionism in Public Option despite claiming they 'just don't have the votes'. Proof was when they decided to pass this Insurance Company enrichment plan through the process of reconciliation the Democratic senators went from whining about not having 60 and if it weren't for those big bad Republicans to "we think it's too decisive" and dropped like fly's.

Same coin, different face.

Watch these weasels.

Ryan's discussion of the CBO was so bad - even the fox news guy tore him apart on it..

well um, ah, Chris - the CBO looked at 10 years of revenue and 6 years of spending - but Ryan - this is talking about a 40 year projection - well, um, Chris - the CBO double counts stuff.....

awful - what did he do to take the knife for that hatchet job

"I know - let's say the CBO double counts stuff" Yes, great idea!! I'm reminded of those direct TV commercials where the guy makes stuff up for their slogans...

Isn't being non-confrontational sorta the whole damn platform for democrats? I think the beauty of what republicans *could* stand for, and Mitt Romney was honest on this recently (sorry, don't have a quote) is that they simply don't stand for everyone. There's fallout with the republican agenda, and that's just the nature of it.

If democrats went on the offensive like that, it would be like Budweiser creating a marketing campaign based on flavor. It just doesn't fit with the brand, and so they don't.

Whether they live up to the brand is another argument altogether. At present, I think we're all victims of sophistic marketing.

I've been surprised over the past 2 Sundays when Chris Wallace has effectively called 'BS' on some propaganda/talking points --- with fancy 'charts and graphs'.

And this thread should be called, "Politicians are Pussies".
