Jessica Lynch Please STFU already.

Would someone please tell this chick that her 15 mins of fame was up like 18 mins ago.

I was reading an article on CNN and she actually said that the way the military was "pr'ing her was wrong" Uh Hello what are you doing letting a book and a tv movie be written/made if you don't want any attention? She went on to say that the military should not have taped the rescue. WTH? How else would the Rangers and the SF guys learn from their mistakes if there were any? It could also be used to help train others on how to conduct a rescue. Jessica you are just a PFC supply clerk keep your mouth shut already.

She's cashing in but too bad no one wants to hear her story. I like how they try and liven up the story by talking about her rape.

She's just a poor girl from West Virginia that hopes to make big $$ on her story. Some people will tell their story for free, but in her case, she has $$$ in her eyes. 🙁

Yeup, I'm a little upset how the media is taking this. I even read at one time she's a hero.

But why? She went to war just like all the other 100,000+ soldiers.. just because she's caught and rescued, she's a hero and known over the men that were killed and are fighting now?

Her story is 'interesting'. A young female joins the Army to pay for school, becomes a clerk and is sent to Iraq. Her unit ends up on the wrong road and is attacked. Her gun jams and many of her people are killed. She is captured and then rescued. Don't tell me that none of you would pursue monetary rewards at the end of that story. Despite what you think of her capitalism, you've got to agree that she's been through a lot, and is still recovering from her physical injuries (let alone mental). Our society is looking for stories like this. If she would have died, this would have been a moot point. I'm glad she got back, and I hope she recovers from her injuries - and if she makes a few bucks along the way,....

Yes her story is interesting, BUT why is she giving interviews saying she doesn't like the military "pr'ing" her when she is doing the same thing? ANother thing, why is she saying they shouldn't have taped her rescue?

I personally can't stand her and find her full of $hit. The news depicts her as a hero, but shes far from it. The members of her convoy who actually resisted and fought the enemy to keep her alive are the heros. Those are the men who died, and those are the men who should be honored, not her. She did absolutely nothing of importance to get the type of recognition she is getting now, and has gotten in the past. Instead of focusing the attention on her, the media should be focusing it on those soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines who are fighting on the front lines daily, who are being killed almost daily. It is a sad day for the american media and its citizens who buy into this whole jessica lynch fairytale, and neglect the soldiers who are true heros. Just my .02

The real hero's are the guys who risked their ass to go pull her ass out of there. She's no hero... she was captured and rescued, how in the hell does that make her a hero?

I've only seen her from the neck up... does she at least have nice ones?

I agree enough already. If Lynch were male this would have played for a week or two.

Gen. Sherman a 140 years ago said,"Being in service to your country, means to live, fight and die with honor; only to have your name misspelled the next day in the paper."
There's more than a note of truth in that quote.

Ms. Lynch is going to be a media darling for a looong time, she's cute and does OK on camera. I hope she makes it though college and does well in her life. But I don't care enough to follow her story and get any updates....

"Her own book, I Am A Soldier, Too: The Jessica Lynch Story, was released this week by Alfred A. Knopf, which paid her $1 million.

Lynch will be everywhere this month. On Nov.11, Veteran's Day, she'll give her first televised interview to ABC's Diane Sawyer. The next day, she'll stop in to chat on the Today show, followed by scheduled appearances on The Late Show With David Letterman (Nov.14) and Larry King Live (Nov.17)."
