Jerky Scrolling

I recently did a repair install of WinXPpro to fix a problem w/ my computer not recognizing any printers and preventing me from re-installing it. So everything works fine, but now I have jerky scrolling which is really annoying when reading web pages. Like instead of the text and images smoothly scrolling up or down the whole screen refreshes and you see the page refreshing from the top down. I'm not sure if you can picture it, but it would be like each notch on my scroll wheel looks like a sheet of paper going over another sheet of paper of the same thing but one notch up, instead of a sheet of paper moving up or down. I tried updating to the newest video drivers and that did nothing also I tried smooth scroll in both tweakui and IE advanced options. Nothing worked. Any ideas? thanks.

Try installing VIA 4n1's if you have a via chipset, if you have an intel chipset, go download their AGP drivers--that might solve the problems.

I had a similar problem a while back that turned out to be the logitech software for my mouse. I uninstalled software and loaded microsoft mouse drivers and didn't have any problems since. I have even installed the logitech drivers off of the windows update site without problems. So it may just be the Logitech software.

Of course if you don't have a logitech mouse installed this probobly isn't your problem. 😉
