I hope this isn't one of those shows where they only create questions without giving any answers making the whole thing a pointless convoluted random piece of crap

Kind of what Lost appears to be heading to

The whole premise of Lost is to very slowly reveal parts of the story, while building up the characters. It could have been done in one season and been much more interesting.

Interesting show so far, but they didn't do their homework about the setting.

Psst, did you also notice that Denver hasn't blow up? Those people aren't real either.

You realize this is a TV show, right? WTF is wrong with some people? Dissecting a freaking TV show. ITS A FANTASY STORY! Someone clue this guy in.

I know it's a fantasy show, doophus.

But the person who just messaged me on MySpace wondering if Jericho was a real town is the one who really needs clued in.

Too many people swallow what Hollywood dishes up to be reality.

Give me a break. You are blaming some anonymous person on MySpace now? You're the one that posted that whole disection on why a fictional show is, well, false.

This show is nothing like Lost. Lost is a show that holds no responsibilities to their audience. Here's a typical Lost writer's meeting:

JJ Abrams - Good afternoon fellas [they only need to work half days]. What should happen on the show this week?
Writer 1: Well, I think we should do something radical. Maybe actually write a story that has a logical plot and feasible explanation of events.
Other writers: HAHAHAHH! Good one, Jim.
JJ Abrams - But no seriously, what should we do?
Writer 2: My daughter loves polar bears.
Writer 3: Yeah dude, but it's a tropical island.
JJ Abrams - Who cares! Polar bear for little Stacy it is. Anyone else have kids?
Writer 4: (nervously) well, Ross does like dinosaurs, but I think they are extinct.
JJ Abrams - DONE!
Writer 1: (getting the hang of it now) How about pirates? And an underground bunker ? And sharks with tattoos?

This show is NOTHING like Lost.

Ok episode, I see how this thing is going to add up. It could have been done much better, imo. But I'll follow it for a few more episodes.

I cant wait for some HUGE suprise at the end.
Maybe the main character will wake up in bed with Bob Newhart.

or a retarded kid will have imagined it all in a snow globe!

what show was that anyway, st. elmo's fire?

yea, agreed, I can somehow imagine all this stuff happeneing. I'm just wondering where those icbms are going to be heading. I'm prepared some some major twist towards the end.

Tonight's episode was really weak. Not much in plot development or suspense.

I disagree. Who fired the missiles? Who fired the EMP? Were both fired by the same or different people?

It also showed a growing undercurrent of chaos, but also a coming together of people to challenge the chaos. The main characters(sorry, can't remember names for sh1t) story also received some more history and the black dude's character is also being shown more clearly.

still really confusing about who/what/where....they should bring up the pace soon on telling us more about who is attacking.

i'm more interested in the relationship between Jake and Robert. They seem to know exactly what is happening, altho, maybe happening sooner than expected. Robert and Jake both knew off the bat that it was an EMP.

Jake lost a lot of his 'cool' appeal after that fight. I thought maybe he was some kind of bad ass but apparently he's more like a Chapelle than a Jack Baeur. 😛

I was half expecting him to just whoop some move and pin the dude down, heh.

how high would a nuclear blast need to be to be visible from 80 miles away?

Depending on the terrain, not very high at all. I remember as a child seeing fireworks through binoculars 100 miles away on the prairie. They certainly were not spectacular at that distance, buut just seeing them was cool all by itself.

Been watching since the premiere... the premise is great, but the execution is lacking. Not much in the way of production quality either... too much like it's done on a very small set. But like most shows, I'll follow through to the end.

We actually watch the first 2 episodes at work today because it was slow and someone brought them in. Looks like a neat show but I'm sure there will be some nice tricks thrown in there somewhere.
