Figured I'd start a thread since there's probably enough people watching it to get some commentary going. Hopefully SciFi or someone picks it up but we should probably assume that this is it. Wonder how they're going to wrap things up. No matter what I'm sure it will feel rushed. Maybe Texas nukes everyone for the fun of it.

I read somewhere that they made two endings for this episode. One that ties everything up and another that ends on a cliffhanger. They would only use the cliffhanger ending if they thought the show was coming back.

I guess we'll find out around 10:55.

Too lazy to find the link but that is true and since they are canceling it they are not going with the cliffhanger ending. I dunno if that means they'll wrap everything up nicely, probably not.

i'm not looking forward to it since i know it's going to end up being way too rushed and will suffer because of it. stupid cbs should have never brought it back if they were just going to cancel it again after 7 episodes:(

Probably wrap it up somewhat, but leave a huge opening for future episodes/spinoffs/etc.

I've enjoyed the show very much, sad to see it go.

It's too bad that they got rid of topic ratings! I would have given ya five stars just for the Hawkins "Black Jower" comment :)

It would be pretty cool if Jake and Hawkins accidently started a full blown civil war between the East and the West... and then tell us that the show is moving to SciFi for season 3!

Kind of sad the fans brought it back for it just to get canceled again. Couldn't warm up to Season 2, it really didn't go anywhere. One less show to DVR.

Think "Black Jack Bauer"! Awesome 24 analogy!

Of course, Jericho would have just been a 2 hour special if Jack Bauer was a character... he would have single handedly disarmed all the nukes and strangled the terrorist masterminds with his bare hands! The only question is what they would have done with the remaining 90 minutes of the special :)

There is still a bunch of wiggle room for the show if it ever gets picked up again.

Something tells me that the "cliffhanger" ending would had Cheyenne planes tailing Jake's private jet with the bomb on board and getting ready to fire, with Beck's convoy driving up the hill to the burial site at the same time.

This ending was less cruel, anyway!

Edit: I also noticed that they really didn't kill "Mr. Smith", either. That alone would make a third season worthwhile! Soo... where do we mail the nuts (and Texas flags!) to this time? :)

They keep saying that these shows get canceled because their ratings aren't high enough, yet people still rave about it.

I don't think that the current ratings system used is an accurate representation of how Americans watch TV. Many many of us watch using our DVRs or what not. When was the last time you went into someone's house and saw that they had one of those machines that monitor what they watch? In the 20 odd years I've been in this country, I've never met anyone who had one of these boxes.

Who has them? White trailer trash people?

The George W Bush voting pool are the ones with the Neilson boxes.

Why do you think SciFi shows do so poorly in general, and then sell like gangbusters on DVD, and crap like reality TV and American Idol score huge?

Certainly it leaves the door open for continuation, but unlike last years Season finale, I'm satisfied with this ending. If they do bring it back, I'll be sure to watch it. If they don't I won't be pissed off like i was last year though. :D

The Sci-Fi channel already has picked up the rights to show seasons 1 and 2. They will probably buy more episodes. I bet CBS will make them show it at times where they don't have to worry about it bring down their ratings. According to wikipedia, it's on the Sci-Fi Channel's webstie that they are in talks with CBS to get the show.

Eh, decided to verify.
Link to article.
If you want to save the show, at the end of the article there is an address to write a letter to the Sci Fi Channel to have them pick it up.
