This show had a season or so and then was cancelled but after a lot of childish moaning about it, it was brought back for at least 6-7 more episodes. The first of this new batch is on tonight.

If you don't know what Jericho is, it's a show set in the US after a nuclear war or nuclear terrorist attack (not really sure yet). It's awesome. It is not that popular because it's just too good for most people and they know it.

BTW if you think it sucks, please don't say it here. I've already PMed the mods and trust me anything negative said about the show WILL get you a permanent vacation!

Good deal! I've been wondering for months what Hawkins was going to do with that tank and the oncoming train!

Besides... we should all know by now that the nuking was an inside job by senior government members who wanted to take over the country! :)

It's a shame they killed off probably the best character on the show last season, I'm looking forward to tonights episode.

Ohh, good save!

I'd like this show to go on for a few seasons, but I hope at least they can wrap it up and tie up all the loose ends. What sucked most about the way it was canceled was the lack of knowing WTF really happened.

Yeah, the Dad/Mayor was a great character. He also had the best line of the season:

Hawkins: This satellite must remain a secret.
Johnston: (pauses briefly) Sounds good.
Jake: What, that's it?
Johnston: What do you want me to say? I get it, man has a satellite, doesn't want anyone to know.
Jake: Yeah, but...
Johnston: I am about to go to war with New Bern, Kansas, the home of the nearest Costco - today is already just about as weird as I can handle. I'm not asking any more questions.

I am highly concerned about reading in the NY Times that the show taking a political bent by "drawing parallels" with Iraq. Yeah, we got beat over the head with already with BSG and other shows. Can't you just concentrate on making a compelling show like you did the first season?

 Yeah, that was a great line.

Damn why did they kill the father/mayor? Unless he had personal reasons to leave the show he was a main character.

i believe they killed him because CBS canceled the show before the last episode was done filming & didn't bring it back until weeks after the episode aired.

Yeah. Plus one of the edicts from CBS to continue the show is for them to thin down the cast some. It had apparently grown too large in the execs opinion.

One of the few shows my wife and I watch together and truly both enjoy (House, Bones, Prison Break being the others)

There are so many characters on that show, I don't think any of them are safe from being killed. I came to that conclustion when the one pregnant chick, Jake's (ex?)sister in law.

It was good, but putting this show up against another drama like Boston Legal on the same time slot is suicidal!

As much as I like this show, I'm still pissed that I missed my Denny Crane fix because the DVR died :(

Will they ever actually progress the plot? I quit watching the show because of the excessive drama and I have time to watch it tonight.

It was pretty good. I just didn't like how they suddenly ended the New Bern battle and then jumped forward four weeks.

I'm having Battlestar Galactica season 3 flashbacks.

 Same here. I hated when they did that for Battlestar Galactica. Glad to see we have the same tastes.

So Chavez followed the guy's wife at the end but somehow got surprised by her holding a gun to his head? Sounds like he let this happen. Maybe he's a trojan horse.

BTW, first time I've seen the show.

the first three episodes have been out on (you know where) for awhile now.

they're pretty good, and I'm looking forward to the remainder of this season (7 eps total).

I just hope they bring it to some kind of conclusion before it ends.

Supposedly, they shot two different endings for this season. One if the show gets canceled and one if the show gets renewed.

Johnston wasn't "killed off". He wanted out of his contract after the initial season 1 episode order so they planned to kill the character.

From what I remember, for this season they filmed 2 versions of the final episode. One will be shown if the get the ok for a third season and the other will be a series tidy up is season 2 is the end.

The whole ASA thing annoys me, especially the part about all the States west of the Mississippi save Texas being a part of it. Just can't see that happening. I would think most people would have a hard time if somebody rolled into town with a different flag and acted like they were in charge. But nobody on the show even seemed to bat an eyelash.
