Jenin was not destroyed!

The Palestinians keep telling us that Jenin was destroyed. No it wasn't. Just saw the following on CNN:

Total buildings - 1800
Buildings destroyed - damaged/destroyed
Buildings booby-trapped - 50

I'm sure you have all seen the pictures that make it look as if the entire city of Jenin has been destroyed. It's amazing what you can do with the proper perspective. Pictures can be made to lie.

Advice that will be liberally ignored-

Wait to see what happened then form an opinion. EVERY building could be intact and 1000 lined up and shot. No I dont think anything like that DID happen, but it COULD. Of course we might have our minds made up and not want to be confused by facts. Something happened or it didnt. If something did not, then there is nothing, and we can go on to other fruitless topics. If something did, then was it something that had to have happened or not. If unavoidable (example- people shooting or rushing troops) then that is an answer too. If people got killed because someone didnt like the situation and decided to kill whoever, then if it was 5 or 50 or 5000, it was wrong. Again, I don't know. Neither do you. This will come out. It always does.

The thread is about whether Jenin was destroyed or not. It wasn't. I did not say that no innocent people were killed in the Israeli hunt for the terrorists that have been invading Israel. I'm sure there were. When bad people hide amoung the innocent then some will be hurt. The problem and difficulty lies in separating the innocent from the terrorist. They don't wear signs or uniforms.

looking at those overhead photos it looks like IDF surrounded, closed in and wiped out opposing forces. same thing probably would have happened in Bethlehem in if they hadn't hid out in a religious landmark
