As a closet member of the midwest chapter of Raider Nation, it pains me to watch him run that offense. His throws are so abysmal it's mind-boggling. He simply can NOT hit any target besides Zach Miller and that's just because Miller's routes are typically in the 10-15 yard range. He doesn't have much help with receiver depth, and it's not like he gets to set up camp back there in the pocket, but he's horrible planted and even worse on the move. The fact that they cut Garcia pretty much shot any chance of them having a decent record this year.
On the plus side they ran the ball very well - that's great but they should be building off the play action and they simply cant, because he cannot make a throw past 20 yards accurately. It's obvious you can't teach it either because he's hasn't gotten any better in the last two full seasons. He is making smarter decisions with the ball but still stares down his first read and throws the ball into coverage inaccurately.
I was however impressed with how well Seymour did without even practicing. I was skeptical since they overpaid for him IMO since they got him in a contract year and will have to fork out a ton of money for a vet, but there was an obvious impact on that front line when he was there. With some practices under his belt and a healthy Nam hopefully they can keep them in a few games for JaSandwich to not throw it away.
I'm glad I went to bed at half (and seeing them take away that touchdown from Murphy), I'd hate to be tired and pissed at work. I'm not even that mad, I mean noone thought this would be a game where SD would have to drive down the feild to win. I'm just glad they were within one score :/
