This is for my Note 2 on Tmobile, but I understand a lot of people have lost their sync button from the Notification bar after the update.
Pull down Notification bar,
hit gear in upper right corner for Settings,
Under Wireless and Network click Data Usage,
Hit your menu button (the physical or capacitive button on the face of your phone),
You should see a check box for Auto sync Data, along with those cute little double arrows,
click the check box.
Done, thats how to turn on auto sync from in the Settings menu.
If you do this a lot you may wish to restore your Quick button in the Notification bar.
Go to Settings,
Display,
Notification Panel,
You should see a grid with a bunch of icons,
you may drag and drop your favorite quick buttons to or from your active notification bar.
Be aware you may only have a max of 10 so some will always be unavailable. I actually get by with 7. The rest I change infrequently and dont need easy access to.
