So I was watching the Food Network yesterday. A show called Ham on the Street was on.

The host George Duran, said that you can make a tasty sandwich with any type of the following:

Bread
Cheese
and...... Jelly

Thats right Jelly. I decided to take him up on that challenge. In the show he actually had some people pick things at random and try them. They all liked it.

So today, I will be doing:
7 Grain bread
Red Raspberry Jelly
Vermont Sharp White Cheddar. I am almost done making it, I will be back with the results. Everyone else should give it a shot too!

I just tried it, It is pretty good. Its not knock you off your feet good. But not bad at all. I am sure with experimentation you can find great combinations.

The challenge is to make your own and be creative! Keeping it down is preferred but not mandatory :)

It's ok once in a blue moon - definitely not something I'd eat everyday, personally. I've had these for years. :p

Something that my friend likes is Miracle Whip/mayo with cheese on bread. It's not too shabby, but I swear I hear him get fatter with each bite.

Jelly tastes good on a surprising number of sandwiches. It adds a little sweetness to the whole thing, which can be nice.

Dude...that's called a Cheese Sandwich...

Sheltered at all?

(Sure, it's not terribly healthy but that's what a Cheese Sandwich is man! Well...unless you like a slice of Cheese w/ only 2 pieces of bread.)

My mom used to give me Jelly and Cheese sandwhiches in Pre-K.

She stopped when they sent her a note explaining how I would cry everyday at lunchtime.

I used to make these a lot with the single slices and strawberry jelly. Thinking about it makes me wish I had bread now. It's very good.

I don't like any kind of cheese myself, but salty & sweet flavors tend to go well together so I'm not that surprised folks liked it.
