Jello Shots

when you guys make them, with Everclear, not vodka, how much everclear do you use, per box?

last year we used 1/3 cup of everclear per box this year im thinkin a lil bit more to make them stronger. but i dont want to kill myself.

maybe like little less than a 1/2 cup?

I drank an entire glass of everclear once... what sucks, is my best friend bet against me...

hah, yea right, what size glass? 6 ounces? cuz thats about equal to like 15 shots at once.

and yea, test batches dont work to well, we know that 1/3rd requires about 15 or so shots to get me drunk, im thinkin a few more to knock that number down into the single digits would be nice.

whatever amount of water the directions say, cut it in half and replace with liquor

thats for 40 proof stuff, might want to lay off it a little bit more since it might not set right

for jello you are supposed to use 1 cup Boiling water, and one cup cold.

are you saying 1 cup everclear? LOL.

i think we will just use 1/2 cup.

OK. In order for the jello to set absolutely perfectly, the alcohol has to net to around 40 proof. This means if you are using vodka, you would use 1 cup boiling water, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup vodka. If you use the full cup vodka, they won't solidify completely, but they're still fine if that doesn't bother you.

To get everclear ones to set, you'd need to use a 1/4 cup of everclear, or go for the half cup and they'll just be kind of liquidy.

I think between 1/2 a cup and a 1/3 of a cup should be fine.

And in regards to the cup it would really depend how fast he drank it, his alcohol tolerance and the condition of his stomach at the time.

I think it's kinda stupid to use everclear because cheap vodka is cheaper and just as effective.

There is always the freezer.

Don't make them too strong...the aftertaste can be pretty severe and no one will go back for more. If you're drinking with strictly guys....umm...do what you like. But if you're trying to make the ladies feel good, always mix light.

Just use Rum. If the recipe calls for 2 cups water, just use 1 cup water and 1 cup rum. These will solidify properly, taste fine and still get your pretty drunk Cheap too.
