Is this news or just childish religion bashing? A blog is a better format for this kind of stuff.

A new group of atheists has arisen in society. Called the new atheists, they are not content to keep their views to themselves.

I recall seeing comedy vidoes of door to door atheists going to Morman homes a few years back. Those always made me chuckle.

Them Morman still knock on my door on a regular basis, and now as soon as I see 2 teenagers with white shirt black pants with ties, I slam the door right away.

Them Jehovah's witnesses aren't any better either. They have a fellowship group nearby and they use my home as a training ground for those door knockers they are sending out.

Childish? Did you notice the quote?:

A new group of atheists has arisen in society. Called the new atheists, they are not content to keep their views to themselves.
They evidence such a phenomenal willfully ignorant arrogance. This is from a group that works very hard to proselytize, sending out hordes of their deluded little freaks to sew the seeds of stupidity.

First post, I came here to look at tech info and got my attention grabbed by this, I'm an idiot. This is my favored avatar , but here isn't the place. (I tried to spoiler, but didn't seem to work) Childish? Nope. I would think a highly technical forum wouldn't mind a little bashing of groups that deny science to its very core.

That's funny, but what's not funny is that if this actually happened IRL, religious people would be outraged. To them, any public expression of atheism is a form of "persecution" of religion. This is their excuse for the double standard - that they can speak and the atheist cannot. They are free to knock on people's doors and spew a bunch of smarmy horseshit, but if the atheists would even think about doing this, the uproar would be epic.

the hypocrisy is annoying, but it still would be a douche bag thing to go door to door trying to push your views on people

...in America.

In first world countries people who ACTUALLY believe there is a magical man who lives in the sky, are ridiculed.

My Prime Minster is an open atheist. Care factor from the Australian people? 0.

I was raised JW and am happily atheist now, but thankfully I never went door-to-door "preaching the gospel".
