Yeah, it's an editorial. But from reading it, it sounds like the author is writing his opinion about something Jeffords actually did.

"According to a senior Senate leadership source, the election results were barely in before Mr. Jeffords' office put out feelers to his former party's leaders."

EVERYTHING is opinion unril it happens! After Jeffords thought he 'Would Be Somebody' by becoming a Democrat and finding he was no better off when he was a Republican, I find it hilarious he would change back.

Politics is all about supposition.

It's in the Washington Times (should always be written in yellow), so it's likely propoganda.

Oh, and Jeffords isn't a Democrat.

It hasn't happened yet and I've written a bunch of letters and signed a couple of petitions. I do not support the Republican party blindly, but the alternative is much worse. This is part of NAFTA we can do without!

Besides, unless that Unsafe Mexican Trucker moves to St. Louis Missouri, my job is safe.

Oh, and Jeffords isn't a Democrat.

The reason he switched was because Democrats made all kinds of promises. Broken promises!

Tom and don't forget a letter to BUSH too who promised amnesty for 8 million potential mexican waitresses either and refuses to indict employers who break INS hiring regulations who hire illegals;)

And the alternative is not much worse... True Democrats are really for you and workers everywhere in the US. But don't vote for idiots like Clinton who I consider the most succesful Reubican president at getting anti-worker legislation passes since Eisenhower.

Although I am for protecting our borders from illegal aliens, and even tariffs where neccessary, I AM NOT for measure that 'protect' Union jobs! Federal and state law should not dictate only Union bidders and where they don't the Unions resort to every sort of crime to drive out any competition.

Imho, if the Unions were to switch parties, that is from Democrat to Republican, they would never need to worry again! They would be about the largest voting block in the Republican party without sacrificing other rights such as gun control which has Union members voting Republican in growing numbers. Most Union members are sick and tired of the Democrat party but Union leadership is married to the Democrats.

Every President in recent memory has given amnesty to Hispanic illegal immigrants. Hispanics are THE fastest growing miniorty and both parties are afraid to anger them.

First, you must get and stay elected.

These illegals are currently here and most of them are working under the table. Give them amnesty and add them to the tax base. OR we can round them up, deport them and then try to hopelessly keep them on that side of the border. Tell me which one which one is going to cost less?

As long as Mexico remains as it is, getting to the US is going to be highly desireable.
