Don't know when, but just saw on the local news.

The Rainbow Warriers ATTACK!! Every double wide is going to have SNL on that night :)

Whats Rainbow Warriors and a 'double wide'?

btw, you know Jeff Gordon dabbled in rallying too? He took lessons from Peter Solberg (I think it was Solberg). There are pics of him rallying as well.

"Double-wide" is a reference to the fact that many NASCAR fans just happen to be trailer-park trash (double-wide = type of trailer). I'm not familiar with the "Rainbow Warriors" reference, but it may have something to do with the persistent rumors of Jeff Gordon's homosexuality.

Rainbow warrior came from the car he drove 2 years ago and before. The paint scheme was of a rainbow, and he kicked arse.

I am not a Gordon Fan at all (Jr. Myself) but my mom is a huge huge Gordon fan and I learned that from her :)

EDIT: BTW, I live in a 3 bedroom 1 bath house with garage, so all Nascar fans are not trailer trash ;)

Heck, show me any NFL game that has 250,000 people attending ;)

Standard ignorant attitude.. "Lucky"? I guess the fact that he's been racing heavily since he was 4 has nothing to do with it. Granted, he's a prettyboy, but he can race like hell, and is a rare talent. People don't get to his level don't get their because they are "lucky".

Anyone who saw Jeff Gordon race sprint cars at Winchester knows he got where he is because of talent.

Dude, I've driven by Lowe's Motor Speedway hundreds of times and also by Ericsson Stadium hundreds of times. Ericsson doesn't have a 60 acre trailer park for fans right outside the stadium. The Speedway does. Sure, you may have 250,000 come in for one race, and there might only be three or four really good races in a whole 8 month season, but that's a LOT of trailers I'm seein right there, and when they leave there's a lot of trash left on the fields.

He's really good at turning left... whoohoo!!!

Jeff Gordon's monologue will consist of running around in counterclockwise circles! :p

If NASCAR is so easy why don't you and all the other haters go out and do it? I mean, it's just turning left, going straight, turning left, repeat as needed. Sure it's no SCCA, F1, or any of that crap but it takes more skill and talent than any @$$hat off the street can provide.

Exactly!

I realize that he is a good driver but when he used to get in the way of my favorite driver Dale Earnhardt and many of the shady things he pulled, it just plain pisses me off!

That's because I'm too busy learning stuff for SCCA... :p
I and others also realize it's expensive and there's a fairly grueling process to break into Winston Cup. And yes, the races are indeed tests of endurance and concentration at those speeds. But none of that is really technical driver skill, hitting your apexes, braking late, setting up for the pass, etcetc. Heck, I think some of the Busch series drivers are better technically than Winston Cup most regulars and IRL folks.

It certainly seems that ovals are more car than driver... CART showed this... I recall it was either Tony Kannan, DeMatta, or one of those top CART guys that basically said that he was out of contention because his car wasn't fast enough. Yet he screamed to podiums through the street circuits and tracks based on driver skill. We have a reason to hate on NASCAR... because it dumbs down the driver IQ and I find it horrendously boring.

...OMG an Earnhardt fan complaining about the way someone else drives. I wasn't to keen on Earnhardt's style either...if ya can't pass'em ..wreck'em. But to be honest it hasn't been the same since he died.

As far as trailers, I grew up in one..it's a roof over your head but that was about it.....great construction ...2x4's in floor..2x2's in walls..and 1x2's in the ceiling.

In a house now. The main appeal of trailers is that they are so easy to get into. $500 down $$299/mnth + any job and you'll get you into one ( and you do not need a lawyer)..and you'll be living in it in 3 days. Unlike my house, which took $8000 cash and about 3 months to actually move in once I started buying it

I think nascar drivers are prolly pretty damn good. A few teams pick up SCCA/ALMS drivers for their road races, but I dont recall any of those drivers winning yet...

nascar prolly does pay better than anything other than F1. Like any pro athlete, I would expect the best drivers to go where the money is...

Yep...Earnhart brought a whole new level of aggressiveness to the field.
That's not to say that Earnhart didn't have skill.
But to call Gordon "shady" and not Earnhart...

I'm still amazed at how much adulation Earnhart Jr. receives, despite having yet to prove himself.

Based on this comment I find it hard to believe you've ever even watched an oval race because it's completely wrong.

For absolutely no reason, Gary Busey talked about my town, High Point, NC. My wife and I just looked at each other with confusion.

Saying that, I loved the Star Dates skit. Their Gary Busey was hilarious!

The Joe Millionaire spots are good too.

"I'm gonna get all those white girls pregnant."
