Jeez, don't turn on this option...

I was reading through http://www.tweak3d.net and they said to turn on "Sync Data Transfer" for your CD-ROM to increase its speed. Well, I did that, and my SETI times jumped from 12-13 hours/WU to 18-19 hours/WU. Needless to say, I turned off that option. 🙂

BTW, what does that option even do, other than take CPU cycles?

It could cause you to run with scissors and throw things in a way that is
only fun until someone loses an eye. It may even rewrite your backup files,
changing all your active verbs to passive tense and incorporating undetectable
misspellings which grossly change the interpretations of key sentences.

So, for Gods sake, be CAREFULL! 😛

LOL MGallik. I hate passive tense...and that's all I seem to naturally write in. Oh well, who needs English anyway? 🙂

This is mainly an SCSI thing. You should follow Windows advice. I have SCSI in my system and it is on for the SCSI Hard-Drive and off for my SCSI DVD and CDRW drives.
My IDE hard-drive has the option greyed-out 🙂.
