Jeep fuses: QUESTION!!!

ok just recently my electric stuff in my car was all fudged up and my dome light in my car ended up staying on for about 2 days. lol

needless to say i had to get a jump etc and i took it to a mechanic for a quick fix so that i could go to work and not worry my battery would still be dead. he removed the fuze for my dome lights and somehow the radio no longer works.
it is not the original radio, its a kenwood cd player. dunno if that matters....

anyways, is there somewhere i can get a fuze for the panel thats near my pedals so my radio will work? i dont want to go back to the mechanic for something as lame as this and would rather just take care of it myself if i can.

help!
and thanks!

Most cars, use the 897 series of Mini Blade Fuses
They are about 5/8" or so wide & about 3/4" overall length.
They are easily obtained at any auto parts store, like Strauss,
Pep boys, AutoZone .. etc .. All you need to do is first look at
the Label on the fuse block cover or in your owner's manual.
It will tell you what Amp Fuse you need for the Radio Circuit.
Then if you are not sure what type it is, just bring one in to
the store to match the size. Then buy the Amp Rating you need
or buy an assortment which will have many amp sizes in it.
Just push it into the correct slot in the fuse panel.

The dome light and the radio may be on the same circuit. You may not be able to get power to the radio without also powering the light and running down your battery.

crapppp, yea thats wat i was thinking, because it stopped working when he took the fuse out for the dome light.

in that case, what needs to be done to correct the screwed up electrical issue with the dome light? could i cut wires? i mean, i really guess i dont care if i have dome lights or not...
there is a set of 2 lights in the front, 2 in the middle, one in middle that stays on when doors are open etc, and then one in the very back. the 4 lights in front and middle are interior lights with on/off buttons...

what are my options and cost estimations?

Could be a short in the aftermarket stereo or the wiring leading to it. Pull it out and check, maybe the taps are corroding.
