I'm trying to connect 2 PC's on a lan to the same server on the net but when one of us get's in it always
says awaiting connection for the other PC that is NOT in. Any ideas on this one? I know the server isn't full
when I'm trying to connect. Possibly copyright protection somehow?

More likely that a single IP can only have one connection to the server

Wow, I didn't think they would be doing stuff like that in today's home networking craze. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well, if the two PC's each have a different IP, (i.e. pc's connected to hub, hub to cablemodem/dslmodem) you should be fine. If you're masking them behind a router, that complicates things but I'm not that network-savvy to be able to tell you what to do about that problem.

Even if the network was behind a router, it shouldn't be a problem if the server is on the router. If you're using a non-PC router like a Linksys or Dlink, then I'd say you probably just need to make sure you're joining the server by the internal IP and not the external IP. I'm pretty sure it's not a copy protection problem, because the game has no protection in it at all (no auth server, no CD key..)

Oops, guess it would help if I posted that I"m using a linksys router. This is the first time I've ever had a problem like this before.
I don't see any settings in the game on altering IP addresses so it must be a setting on the router possibly?
