I saw a link on the forums a couple of weeks ago to a Jedi Knight 2 mod that make dismemberment more likely to happen and have a larger range of body parts to work on.

I can't seem to find the thread with search, anybody have a link?

Oh don't get them started! We already have a mean mod and a kinky mod (amongst others), I'm afraid of what might happen if we had a Dismemberment Mod... ;)

Hehe - this is going to rock. A friend of mine is sending me the copy that he bought because he didn't realize that he didn't have a 3d card in his lappy until after he'd installed it and it won't run. So I get it. Free. :D
Anyway, You're going to love the dismemberment mod if you haven't seen it already. I have screen shots...

tsk tsk, i don't see why anyone has to d/l a mod when you can simply type it insto the console, its already in the game, i guess the mod is prolly small then. Look over at the jkII forums and you'll see the console command, something like lightsabrecombat_1 or something like that. no need to d/l a mod.

The 5k mod basically keeps it turned on. Otherwise, you have to open the console and enter the command each time you start a new game. How lame is that?? ;)

sheesh, like it takes all that long to type g_saberrealisticcombat...

Actually, the mod does more that simply set the lightsaber realistic combat variable to 1, there are also several other variables that can have their values changed to increase the likelihood of a dismemberment. In fact, before I starting using the "mod", I had chopped off a few arms and legs. After using the mod, the frequency increased, and I was able to decapitate (almost whenevery I wanted to), and cut enemies in half.

well... it goes from something like 35% up to 65% or 75% chance that you actually to dismember. And, yes, the mod does more than just enable the dismemberments. I don't believe beheading is included in the console command. Cut off a head, then go look at the underside of the helmet and you'll see why.

Anyway, the mod kicks arse. Either way, it's better than the console command or no mod at all.
