Yes, I sucked at them, now go ahead and help me. You're my only hope.

W has been laying low since he left office. He isn't an attention whore like some former presidents. He doesn't try to make millions of dollars a year making speeches. He's retired. He paints pictures and spends time with his family.

That is what I said.

I pointed out that W is laying low unlike other former presidents. Him not showing up at the convention would not be a surprise in the least. And that is IF that happens.

Instead people chose to focus on one sentence out of the entire post. They left out part of that sentence. If they can single out a tiny part of a post to tweak its context, I can single them out for leaving out part of that tiny part to call them out.

Yes, they singled out the one statement that is wrong in your post. You said something that was false. They didn't use it to claim the rest of your post was false. Just admit you posted a false claim that Bush didn't try to earn millions making speeches after his presidency.

We can debate whether or not he is laying low later. I just saw him on TV during a golf broadcast a few weeks ago FFS. When it comes to the 2016 race, yeah he is laying fucking low because his presence will only hurt the party.

Again...I didn't claim that.

I didn't say he was holed up in a bunked. I said he was laying low. And he is compared to say...I don't know....Clinton. That was the point I was making which is relevant to this thread. If you want to debate about how much money he is bringing in, make a thread about it. This is the thread to debate if he is laying low or not. Stop trying to derail it.

You absolutely did claim that. Your words are right there for everyone to see. No you didn't claim he was in a bunked which is why eskimo didn't claim you said he was in a bunked. Eskimo claimed you said exactly what you said.

Eskimo did not claim I said exactly what I said. He conveniently edited my post as he does too often. If it were you who had made that post, things would be entirely different. But he has a long track record of lying about what people said and attacking the lies he tells instead of the real post. I will continue to call him out every single time he edits posts, lies or pretends someone said something they didn't. He was made elite for his posts in this forum. I hold him to a higher standard in this forum.

You have pointlessly derailed this thread by trying (and failing) to claim you didn't make the statement you, in fact, did make. Countless posts later, this constitutes a thread derailment. Please do not repeat this.

Nope. You are wrong. You just hate that he calls you out on your fuckups more than most, probably because he is more capable of spotting your fuckups than most.

I don't think anyone's trying to derail, one of the only points you used to support your argument proved to be false.

I respect your opinions and I enjoy your posts rudeguy, but I think you are being a little ridiculous on this one.

RudeGuys point is that George W has kept his mouth shut about most policy items and generally doesn't whore himself out to speeches and businesses unlike Cheney.
Am I correct RudeGuy?

If Jeb ends up as the Republican candidate (and I think he will), will it look strange if his brother is forbidden from attending his rallies and events, including the National Convention? In the 2012 election, W' wasn't invited. Will it look weird if he's not invited to the 2016 convention when his brother becomes the party's candidate?

just for the record, GWB was invited but declined the invitation on account of shying away from politics post-presidency.

I assume he'd make an exception for Jeb, but it's all hypothetical since there's no way he's winning the nomination.

Yep.

Most of his speeches are closed to the press. My intention was to compare him to Clinton without calling Clinton out. I chose poor wording and for that I throw myself upon the mercy of the forum.

In case you hadn't noticed, W has been laying low since he left office. He isn't an attention whore like some former presidents. He doesn't try to make millions of dollars a year making speeches. He's retired. He paints pictures and spends time with his family.

The answer to the OP's question is: Who knows? The question is the op is IF Jeb gets nominated what IF W isn't invited? I dunno. What IF Hillary Clinton is found out to be a pod person and what IF she is still nominate?

Yea, that Carter motherfucker... what an attention whore he is

Which is not what he said that I said.

I never personally attacked him. I pointed out that he lied again and that he can't help lying. Which if he can help lying makes him even worse of a person for doing it on purpose.

Liar or just ignorant, admit it or shut up.

Does that lack of press coverage remind you of "FREE SPEECH ZONES" and supporter only attendance invented during the 43 Presidency? It should. Can't let that crazy out in the light of day.

Again I am not a Bush supporter however I will give him credit he is acting like a classy former President. He doesn't talk about current policy, he doesn't go on soft ball news shows to ramble on about garbage.

More Bushes in the White House? We've already had two. The first Bush was okay, the second one horrible. With the continued rightward drift of the GOP since 2008, forgive me if I don't want to see how this shitty trilogy ends.

So, here's a Haiku describing my feelings about Jeb! or any other Bush running for president:

No no no no no,
No no no no no no no.
Refrigerator.

This is a very good point. Whatever his other faults are he had the good sense to let his successor try and run the country without undermining him. This is a good example for all ex-presidents that I hope Obama follows.

If only someone could have notified Dick Cheney that this was what you were supposed to do. That guy has been an embarrassment.

Cheney is a truly evil human being.

Yeah that would be so weird. I can't even imagine President Obama being president without being surrounded by his 8 siblings. Oh wait, I've never seen them.

Let's not forget about the paintings either.
