your whole argument is invalid because you didn't check your math!

Holy shit man! That was easily the best post I've seen in a long time. My work internet is shit, so the graphics didn't load, but great work from what I saw!

 You have a general nodding approval for dealing in something both practical and of sound science. If such plans come to a vote, the exact details will matter, but I stand behind the idea and look forward to seeing nuclear and solar advance.

If someone stands in the way of this goal, they will not have my vote.

Thanks guys. :)

I'm still on one of the highest points in Pinellas County, and eagerly awaiting my new Beachfront/Island property.

There is story after story debunking it all. Falsified data, fabricated data, manipulated data. It goes on and on. I'm older than you. When I was younger we were told we were all going to freeze to death unless we did something. The believers are nothing but members of a cult. The cult of 'increased taxation will fix it'. They'd all be Hare Krishna's except for the fact that gaming is less fun at the airport.

I'm OK with extinction. At least I wouldn't have to listen to your bullshit anymore.

Your life is yours to throw away, but what about your kids and grand children they may have some day. Don't piss on people who want them to have a future.

It's the job of progressives like me to know what's best for you better than you do. Fortunately, it's pretty easy.

And there we have it. People are having a civilized discussion, debating informed theories and information and these two show up with kindergarten playground level insults and intelligence.

Way to ruin a thread you hate mongering idiots.

I see Harvey is making a comeback now that the potential for another Bush to violate our rights is on the horizon. So silent for the last 6 years while the current admin abused our rights.

Harvecrite just can't help himself. I'm sure when Hillary is elected, THEN we will see Bush and his "criminal cabal" thrown in jail, amirite Harvey?

I was disappointed that it hasn't happened under the Obama administration. The Bush admin torturers, war criminals and war profiteers should have been tried, convicted and sentenced to life in prison long ago.

The gravity of their crimes, and the fact that they already committed them, is ONLY reason Jeb's idiocy isn't worse... at least yet. No rational American citizen should consider giving him the chance to prove it, one way or the other.

Paratus, it's obvious you have a lot of knowledge and put a tremendous amount of work into your post(s) in this thread. But there is one huge problem. You're saying it.

There is no politician saying any of that. Nothing, nada. Their answer is to raise taxes on everyone and everything and spend the money in unidentified ways. We are supposed to just trust them. And that's why it's all going nowhere without a change in the manner in which this nation and the world is governed. And that change may yet come.

There is nothing you can say or ever will say that will have any value to me until you change your sig. If you want to insult people with the paranoid fanatical diatribe that is your sig, you certainly can with the position you hold here. But I'm not listening and it appears I'm not alone.

BTW, a Republican just filibustered in an effort to restore some of your rights.

OTOH, others have commented that they agree. If you can't get beyond a sig file to discuss the current topic, there's not much chance I'll convince you of anything, anyhow.

If you want to insult people with the paranoid fanatical diatribe that is your sig, you certainly can with the position you hold here. But I'm not listening and it appears I'm not alone.

It's not paranoid if it's true. The reference to "traitors" is rhetorical hyperbole, but the rest of it is the daily news headlines. It could be an interesting discussion, but I'd rather not derail the thread.

Then again, there are those in positions of power from both parties who would act in concert to promote continued unconstitutional, unrestricted domestic spying on all of our communications. What should we call them?

What I am right about is that I know exactly the delusion you labor under that is the source of your rage and how exactly to play the part that will yank your chain. You never get the fact that I know you because I know me, the me that's you that you are too afraid to see. You have yet to die from frustration by the futility of rage because you still bottle it up inside. I am you bro, farther down the Road of Rage where it meets the Blvd. of Suffering and Pain.

Harvey - he's the gift that keeps on giving.

But only every 4 years if there is someone named Bush, and has an R affiliation.

Please show any reference anywhere that says climate change is making the planet uninhabitable. Certain parts will be more or less hospitable as climate changes just as always (see Iceland over the centuries for a good example). But giving up several percent of global GDP in perpetuity would not only be pointless but actually counterproductive in an eventual solution to the problem. That doesn't mean we shouldn't use energy saving means when it makes sense to do so, but the idea that we'll replace oil usage with renewables is a joke given current technologies.
GDP just has to go down, automatically, as we stop poisoning ourselves, because Master Limbaugh, Master Beck, and Exxon says so. Because Freedom.

Also: Benghazi.

jebs corporate owners are anti-climate change.

why would he rock the boat?
Perhaps you didn't notice his brother George...
Neocons are entirely in favor of big government solutions. What could be bigger than the elemental basis for our entire economy?

C'mon, you can't realistically expect him to chew through the restraints just for Senators and governors.

Here's the thing. We have freedom of speech here. That pretty much dictates that certain people are going to be offended from time to time. That's something we all have to deal with on various levels to live within our borders. Want less free speech? Canada is contiguous with the U.S. Head on over.
