Jeb Bush Campaigns for Janet Reno

In still another BS ploy to win the November Florida Governor's race, Jeb Bush is going to run ads for Janet Reno. More specifically, he will be running attack ads against Bill McBride, the second-place candidate for the Democratic nomination. Reno is slipping slightly in the polls, the Florida Teachers Union has sided with McBride and not Bush (who just recently broke Florida law by filming a campaign ad from inside a public school), so Bush feels he needs to help out Reno's campaign by attacking McBride.

This is just a precursor, folks. Wait for the attack ads on Reno...it's gonna get ugly.

I see his stupid commercials on TV all the time. Jeb is the only one of the three that runs negative ads.

Let me guess, you were ok with this tactic when Grey Davis used it in favor of Simon over Riordan in the California election right?

What is funny is that CA Republicans actually fell for Davis' ads.
Gray Davis uses campaign methods that even some CA Democrats find appaling. He has such a huge financial advantage over Simon, who had to lay off most of his staff recently. Davis will win despite his horrendous performance as governor. One, because of money, and two because CA voters lean to the left, and Simon is too far right.
I would vote for Riordan over Davis, but with Davis and Simon running I am just not going to vote for Governor, period. Until the CA GOP stops picking the most right-wing candidates to represent them, they will continue to lose even to such horrible governors as Gray Davis.

I think attack ads of this nature are wrong no matter who does them. I really think they are wrong when "political action groups" take soft campaign funds and create attack ads.

It doesn't matter who does it, they are wrong.

Or when Engler used the same tactic to ensure that he faced a non-viable Geoffrey Fieger in the last election, instead of facing a candidate who might actually get a vote or three. It worked great, Engler won by a landslide.

Perfectly legitimate tactic to help ensure that your competition is...errr...no competition.

The past 5 state teachers of the year haven given Jeb their support.

BTW, they are 2 republicans, 2 democrats, and 1 independent.

You'll might not like Jeb, but you gotta figure, Janet doesn't have that much of a chance.... and Bill McBride, yea right, half the state hasn't even heard of him.

you know as an englishman my only lasting memory of the bush/ gore florida recounts was the tale of some guy getting caught eating one of those chads or whatever those pop out holes is called, what a way to affect the result, meh.
