I wear only Levi's. (Lucky me I work 5 stores from a Levi's Outlet!) I have bought the Levi Signature from Wal-Mart and in my expirence (both pairs) were definately NOT the same quality. They were't terrible but next time I will definately shell out the extra $10 more to buy the original.

My favorites so far are True Religion, 7 for Mankind for when i have the cash, and Guess on the low end. Great fit, great fabric, and girls love em!

Since I tore my work jeans up so fast, I always wore the cheapest but heaviest I could find. Costco's Kirkland fit that bill. About $14/pair.
For my "non-work" jeans, I wear mostly wear jeans from Lands End. Kind of spendy, but they fit me well, wear well, and are quality made. Since K-Mart bought out Sears, (who already owned L.E.), we'll have to see how the quality holds up. (haven't bought new jeans since that buy-out happened)

I got some of the cheap levi's at Target the other day (they were less than five bucks). The fabric is inferior to the real levi's, but the fit seems similar. The pairs I got look cheap too, I'll probably only wear them when I mow the lawn and whatnot. Levi 514s are my favorite jeans.

Call me a perv, but I don't care what the brand is. All I look for is, does it accentuate the body, of the female, the jean is on. 😀

AE are probably my favorite at the moment, but I've never yet sprung for a pair of Diesel, True Religion, etc.

Not a big fan of BR or Guess jeans, though; Express are decent, but I like the fit of AE better.

at target the signature jeans were about $16? at mervyns 501's are about $27-30. other numbers are sometimes 25ish at mervyns, the 501's have the button fly, signature come in everything but button fly. so those buttons cost ya 10 bucks. as for quality, i don't see the difference, its all made in china now, so who are u kidding 😉 its probably coming from the same factory.

the most comfortable jeans i own are kenneth cole (from the outlet store of course)

a few in this thread mentioned true religion. i dont care how comfortable jeans are, they arent worth $262 - $319 a pair.
