Yeah, I was going to say something like that. Scandanavia, add Germany and maybe a couple other places. I would say they are probably not jealous of the US at all.

The rest of the world though...

Correct Troll, if we want to learn better treatment of women, you have MANY other place to learn from before we look at a communist regime that shoots at its own young generation and drives tanks over them to stay in power.
The sad thing (good thing?) is that even in a country like that, rape victims are not reviled.

I guess we all have something to be sensitive about, though.

The Western culture has exploited women's sexuality for profit and power more than anyone else and is continuously doing it. As for better treatment of women in India, the spread of Western culture there has not helped matters much either.
Neither of your statements, whether true or false, speak to the point elicited in mine.

And how do you know that? Its a closed country, what exactly goes inside, nobody knows. The thing you hear about India is because it has a free media, pease stop trolling.

I forgot, most Americans are ignorant of world history. Consider this a history should you ever decide to get a passport and want to visit certain countries...
Do you really think I believe you? I am not that stupid.

I am a expert on countries.

They've been pacified by the Russians in the north and east and Germans in the south...

The OP is intermingling too many different things into one list - there is actual economic/social jealousy amongst neighbors (US - Mexico), but that's very different from animosity, based on historical events (Russia - Poland, Japan - Korea). Also things change over time - often very quickly.

Japan - Korea started with bitter animosity, based on Japanese brutality on a huge scale. By and large in 30-40 years, it moved toward insecurity, mostly b/c Japanese corporations/products were higher quality. But in the last 10 years, even that's disappeared with Korea's corporate rise (much of it directly at the expense of Japanese corporations).

At this juncture, I'd say it's closer to actually switching to Japanese insecurity over China and Korea.

But of course, despite these often very similar (relatively) countries having such issues with one another... people still think everyone can live in wondrous, peaceful diversity together...

How's that workin' out for us?
