Not really. They won a few categories, but they still have a corporate average of 120 problems per 100 vehicles compared to 108 and 112 respectively for Honda and Toyota. The overall brand winner is Porsche followed by Lexus. The overall winner based on volume would be Honda.
Saying that Ford wins is like saying that Germany won WWII because they won some key battles.

BTW, if you're gonna claim the Miata as a "win" for Ford, you better own up to Mazda's next to last place showing on the list![]()

And that proves what?
They're corporate average is 120 problems per vehicle. The best performer on the chart is at 91.
If I have 8 classes and I get a report card that shows 4 A's, that's pretty good. But it's a totally different story if the other 4 classes are C, D, D, D.
But let's my friend gets 2 As and 6 Bs. Who's looking better?

hey, i'm looking at buying a ford. considering the experience i had with the Ford Windstar, one would think i would stay clear, but i'm liking where the edge is going and if it is anywhere near the quality of the Fusions, it will be a good vehicle.

The Edge is a really nice vehicle. I'd go with the Edge if I only needed seating for 5, but I'd take it's platform mate -- the Mazda CX-7 -- if I needed a third row.

I don't really trust their reviews, but I trust their quality ratings.
For example, does anyone here think that a Grand Prix is better than a Camry?

The CX-7 does not offer 3rd row seating, the CX-9 does. I really liked the CX-7 when we test drove it.

That's pretty much what it is. The problems can range from wind noise and interior quality (is it already falling to pieces?) to the brakes failing.
I'm not sure if they weight certain things though. I mean, a little wind noise is a bit better than the transmission dropping dead.
