JBOSS running slow...

Hey, I don't know if any of you have this trouble. Is there any reason why a Quad Xeon (733 Mhz processors, it's a Dell PowerEdge 6400) with a gig of RAM and SCSI drive would be running the JBOSS server extremely slow? It's running Windows 2000 Server.
