I'm not exactly sure how to set up JBOD here or whether it can be done in software (this was my understanding). I have a 40 gig 180GXP, a 60 gig WD600AB, and a 4.5 gig 7200 rpm scsi drive. Since the scsi drive is extremely slow, I just use it for backup. Here's what I'd like to do:
[*]Create 5 gig boot partition on 180GXP
[*]Put the remaining 35 gigs from the 180GXP and the entire 60 gig drive into a JBOD configuration.
[*]Leave the scsi drive alone.
Is this possible? If I have to put them on a RAID controller, will my KT7a-raid cut it? Would the NV7-133R cut it (I have one lying around).
