Anyone ever buy anything from www.bhphotovideo.com? I can't seem to find anything on bizrate or any other rating site about it?

The reason I'm asking is I found the JBL PB-12 12" 250-Watts Down-Firing Powered Subwoofer for $220 with free shipping. Anywhere else it has a list price of $480 and sells for around $300 and up.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

*edit* link to the item in question... here.

They are like the newegg of the photo world. Good prices, good customer service, quick shipping, and overall a grat place to deal with. I haev bought from there 20-25 times in the past year without a problem. And if something comes up, they will call you as soon as possible to let you know what is going on.

Now that sounds like a subwoofer! I remember 20 years ago when people would laugh if you said your subwoofer had smaller than a 12" speaker.

BTW: Another vote for bhphotovideo. We buy all our camera gear from them mail-order.

Thats a cheap price! This model Sub though has had problems with the amp going dead after 6 months + use. Check audioreview.com for more details. The newer models have supposedly had this problem fixed.

Great deal :)

Wow, that is a great price. No one usually ever beats Etronics.com but they've got it for $249...

The amp in mine went out after 6 months. Luckily it was still under warranty. I read the warnings, but ignored them. I really wanted this model because it was cheap, black, 12in, and downfiring. If I could do it all again I would go with a different sub and avoid the hassle of driving 3 hours x4 to the nearest svc ctr.

I got a JBL HT setup from them. They are not "authorized" resellers but at half the price I could buy another whole setup and still be better off than going through a warranty.

This is a great deal. I bought the PB10 from them for 199$ so wish this deal was around when I was in the market. Great subs.

I've bought film and photopaper from them several times without problems. My photography professor suggested them to us.

Becareful with the BP12, I have one for year and a half, amp went out 6 months ago, soon after the warranty expaired. It was nice for JBL to replaced it for me under warranty, but it took them 4 months to do so. I paid $250 shipped from J&R.

They are AUTHORIZED RESELLERS FOR JBL.
They have always some of the best prices around for digital cameras, camcorders, etc.

I stand corrected. I remember looking when I bought from them and I don't remember them being listed.

I know they are not listed and I was concerned about that when I wanted to buy my JBL setup. I asked them and I asked Harman Kardon too and they said yes.
