If this is an old issue, I apologize 😀. I searched but didn't find a thread
Now my problem:
I can't post anything, can't respond to messages , open someone's profile etc, basically anything that has to do with Javascript.
I have downloaded Java runtime 1.05, tried a browser other than IE 6 ( Netscape ), turned off pop-up blockers, enabled scripting . I am still unable to fix this ! I even uninstalled SP2, same result

Running winXP/sp2 btw. Can anyone help, Pleeeeeease ???
Right now I am using another PC with Win98.
Thanks 😛

First: you don't have java 1.05. 1.50 maybe. Second: this has nothing to do with java.

Tried firefox or mozilla or opera? Tried going through the Options->Advanced list and looking at anything that might be relevant and disabled?

I have tried Mozilla, Firefox, opera , enabled all "relevant"items . Nothing seems to work . If this is not Java related what else could it be ? I can do everthing else.

It's not java related because:

java != javascript

(gotta get around to putting that in my sig sometime...). It seems odd that you would get the same behaviour over so many different browsers. Are you certain you don't have any kind of malware on that machine?

No, no malware last time I checked.
Got Ad-aware running with a host of other apps like Spyware blaster, Spybot s & d. It's only on AT that I seem to have this problem though. I can take care of all other things online including paying my bills. I'm just stumped

do you have any type of internet security suite installed? i noticed that norton internet security includes a pop up blocker now and it does it silently. seeing as how a lot of these message boards have the reply to topic window open in a new window, they may be getting blocked by a pop up blocker on your machine. just a thought.

pcthuglife...... YOU RULE MAN 🙂
That was it . I disabled Norton internet security and I was able to get most functions back except fpr messaging which I had to disable Ad-aware for.

Thank you so much buddy !
And Kamper too for trying . I appreciate it.
