Java run time question (w/ IE)

Trying to run the Trendmicro online scanner, it says I don't have Java. Pic
I do have Sun Java RT 1.4 installed, but only enabled for Mozilla.

Does IE not come with it's own Java VM? And if I don't have Java with IE, why is this the only time I've noticed a problem? I do use IE a lot too, especially lately (don't ask).

Due to a lawsuit with Sun, Microsoft has not included Java with it's operating system since Windows XP SP1. If you go to java.com, you should be able to install the IE component of the JRE.

You can go for a long time without noticing a lack of Java support in your browser. There aren't too many websites out there that use Java applets, except in special cases.
