Java Install Help

Starting a new thread from my earlier discussion;

Had java 6, java 7-21, and javafx installed on my machine. Unable to either automatically or manually update 7 to r25. Was also unable to use window uninstall on either the 6 or 7. Managed to remove 6 with the java remove tool and remove 7r22 with the windows fix tool. Since them I'm still unable to install (the current) java on this win7 machine via either method.

Help?

Try running Oracle's Java Uninstall Tool applet and then reinstall. If the applet fails, then download the 30-day free trial of Revo Uninstaller Pro, set it to advanced mode, and it will remove all vestiges of Java. If the Java installer (for whichever Java version you're attempting to uninstall) is damaged, Revo has a "forced uninstall" mode that will search the system and program files as well as any registry entries, and allow you to manually delete any remaining Java data. If you're still unable to reinstall Java after that, run the Microsoft MSI cleanup utility which will delete all orphaned Java .msi installer packages from C:\Windows\Installer and their corresponding entries from the registry.
