java certification

just wondering if anybody here is java certified and if it's worth taking the test to be certififed. does it make a difference when obtaining a job? also, how is the test? hard? how long did u study for it? etc...

Some people here will say it sucks, others will say it helps decently. Lets put it this way:

Employer picking between you and somebody with the same resume but you have a java cert. Who will get the job?

Experience is worth more than a cert but sometimes you can't control your level of experience, and you can control whether you have a cert or not. If Java is what you want to do I'd say its worth it.
