Java/ByteVerify - help please

my virus scan has told me i have a Java/ByteVerify virus that it can't vault or delete.
can anyone tell me in layman's terms how to rid my machine of this?

I have the same problem, and the safe mode thing didn't work.

if your antivirus has a boot floppy option, then do that.
