Hey guys... so quick question about JSP and calling a Bean. Do I have to map the bean or can I just call the class from it's path? I tried this but I'm getting a 500 internal server error. Any good resources (such as sites) that I can go to for info?

I'm currently trying to use a JSP file that uses EL to call a bean for some info.

You need an object that complies with the bean spec in order to access it in a JSP. That object needs to be scoped in some way such that it is available when you get to the JSP line. Whether it be request, session or page scoped.

Unfortunately I don't really get what you are asking. For one it might be useful to turn on full logging in your app server so when you get a 500 error you also get the stack trace which will explain what is going wrong.
