I have been on ATI drivers too long and I recently went back to Nvidia(due to PC upgrade and Nvidia seemed best value for money for my card choice) but was wondering why I would get the Nvidia driver infinte loop error BSOD when going to java sites, anyway turning my AA etc to application preference fixed the problem, lol so simple, took me ages to figure the problem out.
Hope this helps some of you guys too if you get a similar problem.

Maybe you should take some reading lessons. That was harsh.

Sorry I would be so harsh except I am jealous of your system. Maybe you could make another and give it to me.

But I already answered your question. I stated in reply 3 with "I bet you have Anti-aliasing and/or Anisoptric Filtering set to something other than application preference".

Again if you would read the links I provided. The first one: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do;:YfiG?bug_id=6267861 will give you the answer. And it is really, really, really, really easy for you to test. Just set your Anti-aliasing and/or Anisoptric Filtering to application preference and see if it works.
The other options is to turn off direct3d by setting an enviromental variable. Start->Control Panel->System->Advanced->Environment Variables->New and then add the approperiate value
