What happened to the java version of AIM, it's not on the aol site anymore.

I think he means the java standalone client that AOL developed. You could install it on any OS.

why would you install a java based program on your os when they provide the regular aol instant messenger program?

Hmm it's not as nearly as functional as the windows version.

yeah, it was a standalone client, I remmeber. I used some type of java executing utility to use the java AIM.
