Serious question... What do average people need Java installed for these days? Seems like it's nothing but a resource user and something you always have to update.
40? what the hell happened to 26-39? And people complain about FF versions...LOL.

I use it and I NEED IT!!
PS: I got this update 5 days back by the way, still not compatible with IE 11 on Windows 8.1. Not that I use IE, but just noting

I was about to ask the same thing. Java should have never seen the light of a day. It's an abomination and the most pathetic excuse for a software from at least a decade.
