LONDON (Reuters) - Scientists have found a "superbug" strain of gonorrhea in Japan that is resistant to all recommended antibiotics and say it could transform a once easily treatable infection into a global public health threat.

The new strain of the sexually transmitted disease -- called H041 -- cannot be killed by any currently recommended treatments for gonorrhea, leaving doctors with no other option than to try medicines so far untested against the disease.

If visiting Japan or Asia beware of having casual Sex or visiting prostitutes.

Maybe God is taking revenge?

Well let me be the first to say, they better hope they find a cure for that. It may be one of the most curable, but it is also one of the most painful, lol.

And who goes to Japan for the hookers? If you want good looking full grown hookers, you to go Europe. If you want underage hookers, you go to Thailand. Japan? Absolutely no reason to be in Japan.

What you guys don't know yet is that gonorrhea is not just a urethral pathogen it has a significant chance of infecting other systems, as well as leading to several immune complex related disease. This could result in a fair number of rapid deaths worldwide.

And if HIV is any indicator of the speed at which sexually transmitted diseases can spread this may be commonplace world wide within the next decade. Lets hope we find that the carbipenems work.

I've long been concerned about resistant diseases developing... a good reason to increase, not slash, funding for the CDC and research (talking to you, Republican leadership).

Gonorrhea will not spread nearly as quickly as HIV because hot Japanese chicks are not nearly so promiscuous as gay men and Japanese men have tiny penises. Don't you watch Southpark?
