Holy Power Consumption, Batman! 271W MORE power drawn in the Cinebench test! That is crazy! Peak system load of 589W - and I don't think the GPU is even getting much of a workout here! What's it going to be like with the CPUs and GPU(s) both at peak load?

It's nice to see it show its muscle in the encoding tests....but that power consumption chart is scary. Also, the 4x4 is equipped with 4GB RAM while the QX6700 has only 2GB so that might have skewed some numbers.

nice article. I am actually impressed that 4x4 can keep up with kentsfield.

but then again it uses twice as much power as a QX6700
and a pair of FX-74s have no overclocking room at all. I mean 3 GHz, thats it. Bump a QX6700 to 3 GHz and it will rape 4x4 clock to clock. Bump it even more to 3.4 GHz (max reasonable overclock on air for 24/7 use) and the QX6700 will destroy it. And with half the power consumption...
