Japanese Political/Historically Relevant Music

As part of a project, I'm trying to find Japanese music, old or new, that is about some sort of political statement or statement of the times. I've tried Googling so many different ways. Maybe cause it's 1 in the morning, but I can't find anything satisfactory.

statement of the times would have to be Morning Musame. The gaijin's fave!

I must be blind...I found that page before, and even looking at it again, I'm not finding any reference to Morning Musame.
