Read the article. Japanese cars dominated the list, but there were a few American cars there...Europe (as usual) was totally shut out.

At a glance, the list may appear obsolete. After all, the best-performing subcompact and entry premium cars aren't even available anymore.

WTF are they talking about, do cars start dissolving after a year or something?

Also, "MAV" is the lamest thing ever.

Grand Marquis takes title for large car, with the crown vic being the runner up, and the Lincoln Town Car takes runner up for large premium car!

woot for the fullsize fords! I've heard ford is dropping that entire chassis/platform, though. Is this true?

They really need to factor in the mileage before they do these rankings. If you're a retiree and hardly drive your car, of course it's going to be "reliable."

While I know for a fact that Japanese cars are the most reliable, with names like Ranger and Yukon on that list, it's no wonder I NEVER trust JD power

Because you have your own, more accurate stats, right?

I'm sure they do - I'll admit I am among the youngest town car owners out there, but the other two cars aren't as limited to old people, and look at how much use the crown vic sees in police and taxi service . . .

I have literally beat the hell out of my '92 Crown Vic for the past 2 years and the thing will not die. Yes, I still change oil and do all that stuff, but it more an experiment than a real desire to kill it.

I'm nice to my '05 Civic.

Toyota isn't gaining financial ground at insane rates just due to GM and Fords horrid pension plans. They are also not paying for insane amounts of warranty work due to a cheap ass parts bin.
