Japanese 276 HP agreement probably over

There was a blurb in some car rag I was reading today that the 276 HP gentleman's agreement in japan is pretty much over. Honda publicly speced the RL (known by it's true name, Legend, in japan) at 300 HP. It's expected that most manufacturers in Japan are going to follow suit.

The agreement was previously only held true at face, with serious power underrating for many models, but supposedly even that is gone now.

The agreement never did apply to the US market.
