Hardly a sign of things to come, but this would have seemed quite unlikely considering the performance of games like Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata.
 
Nah, Halo 3 is a slightly popular game around the world. 😉

I imagine all the Japanese people that wanted to play it bought it first thing, and you'll likely see a sharp decrease in sales pretty soon.

Someone suggested that in the Kotaku thread and a Japanese resident responded that they could buy their own US version at the base PX. I have no idea whether those sales are included in these charts without further research.
